Writing a Resume The introductory state­ment of a resume requires some careful thought, both in deciding which of the three types of introductory statement to use and what information to include in it. Getting another person's perspective on this communication challenge can be helpful. In this activity, in fact, someone else is going to write your introductory statement for you, and you will return the favor.

Your task: Pair off with a classmate. Provide each other with the basic facts about your qualifications, work history education, and career objectives. Then meet in person or on­line for an informal interview, in which you ask each other questions to flesh out the information you have on each other. Assume that each of you has chosen to use a qualifi­cations summary for your resume. Now write each other's qualifications summary and then trade them for review. As you read what your partner wrote about you, ask yourself if this feels true to what you believe about yourself and your career aspirations. Let us assume that I had paired off with a classmate and provided each other with the basic facts about qualifications, work history, education, and career objectives. Further, we met for an informal interview and depending on our resumes, we asked some questions to each other to get some information. Let us also assume that my partner have chosen to use a qualification summary of my resume and reviewed it. I will write here my qualification summary first, according to my imagination and then will discuss what my friend might have reviewed and rated it.

Qualification summary:-

My partner reviewed abovesaid qualification summary and rated that it is effective enough to be selected by the potential employers. As my partner has rated so, I feel that I will be able to attract the interest of employers in myself, as I have past experience of work in my field. I had not only worked as a Software Executive but also worked as a Team Leader and that too after completing only six months in my job. So, it will be advantageous for me as I lead a team of some personnel as I might possessed some required qualities at that time. In btween my job, I got myself trained in Advance Java and Oracle which helped me a lot in my job. Further, I took a post graduate degree in MBA (Finance) which will again be a boost for me to get myself selected in job, as my area of work will get diversified from Engineering to Finance. The employers may think of me as a good and potential employee as thay can put my skill to use in their organization in the core field (Engineering) and in the managerial field (Finance). My qualification summary is definitely going to attract the potential employers.
