Question
In this discussion forum, think of yourself as the "brand" to be marketed. What makes you unique? What is important to you? What is your mission statement?
Create your own SWOT analysis that identifies your "strengths" and "weaknesses" (reflecting on your skills, talents, abilities), and trends in the external environment that could be "opportunities" and "threats" to fulfilling your personal career mission. What are the specific goals that you want to accomplish within 5 years?
Also, choose two of the different marketing or management jobs or positions described and compare and contrast the challenges associated with each. One position should be one you would want while the other is one you would not. Why did you pick one over the other?

HR manager and line managers: They are many ways that Line and HR manager can work together and guarantee a fair and balanced process. The most important reason is that both parties have a devolved interest for the company to achieve success. For instance, when there is an issue related to recruitment the right people, the human resource department supports the workforce and communicate regularly with the Line Manager to sets the skills and qualifications needed for a spotless operation. Also, when is a vacancy in a line manager’s section, an HR recruiter or specialist would review the job with the line manager for precision and comprehensiveness. Along the recruiting process and selection process, the HR counsels line managers on how to recognize qualified candidates and current department staff skills Managers and HR professionals have the important job of organizing people so that they can effectively perform these activities. This involves seeing people as human resources, not as costs to the organization.
Workforce strategic planning between HR and line managers includes studying forecasts related to future business demands to determine if is a good idea to train current employees to prepare them for the new opening, or recruit candidates with higher skills to expand the existing employee knowledge base. Both managers benefit working together reducing costs per hire and dropping turnovers. “In addition, a suitable succession planning and an adequate staffing will benefit the organization” (Ruth Mayhew 2017). Training and development is a human resource function which develops learning objectives that prepare line managers for a number of management tasks based on their understanding of the organization’s coaching philosophy. Leadership training embrace employees with a constructive and positive feedback, and how to lead a fair and unbiased evaluation of employee’s performances. In order to maintain a positive employee satisfaction, and a consistent methodology to perform management, the HR and line managers should, with no doubt, work together. Workplaces, especially in the United States, have many different cultures, personalities, and work styles, therefore, when a conflict affects the companies’ environment the Line managers in general, look the advice of HR in deciding how to resolve an issue between employees or issues between employees and their managers. However, if there is a disagreement between the HR and the line manager, it could be hard for human resources to determine what motivates such a conflict and how to resolve it. A positive and healthy connection between the HR and the line manager facilitates investigations, and make it easier for arbitration of the differences between the staff.
One position should be one you would want while the other is one you would not. Why did you pick one over the other?
I would have picked the HR manager instead of the line manager. That is because I prefer to deal recruiting, screening, interviewing, training and placing workers. I also would like to direct and coordinate the administrative functions of an organization instead of assign tasks, manage work flow, monitor the quality of work, deal with employee problems, and keep the middle managers and executive managers informed of problems and successes at ground level in the company.
