It has given an example of Coke and Levis which are recognized globally in every country but how to distinguish country specific product or consumer for local based product in a country. Here example given for “Norwegian lutefisk” which is a local delicacy or specialty food and may not have been preferred by many consumers globally.

Now take another outlook, having “Norwegian lutefisk” in Indian market. If we see the consumer in India may like to eat local based food however other international cuisine are equally famous but it all depends on the culture, climate and consumers preferences or personal choices and able to afford the same. Hence, it is worthwhile to say, global consumer market has emerged and continue to emerge based on the consumer preferences and trends but country specific product need may differ.
