Question
Background:
Entrepreneurship is a widely scoped business perspective having multiple horizons/dimensions. Its major concerns are the commencement of a new business venture and its growth as the time lapsed. Certain entrepreneurial characteristics lead a person to avail an opportunity, initiate a business, accomplish its dreams and keep the business prosperous. Entrepreneur’s vision, its commitment with the opportunity & resources and risk taking ability are the unique characteristics that distinguish this entity from a business person. History presents a reasonable number of entrepreneurs whose determination led them to achieve remarkable milestones in business and social world.
Case:
Mr. Javaid, a young enthusiastic guy, having his mind full of professional dreams, completed his graduation with a distinction in his business school. He was quite aware of currently prevailing global recession. Despite increasing downsizing in many organizations he didn’t lose heart and got the job after six months of his continuous search in the market.
He got the job in an automobile manufacturing concern at a very nominal pay. Though that job was not up to his qualification, abilities yet certain social pressures enforced him to stick with his job. He was also very upset due to ill-organized structure of the organization and autocratic attitude of the management. His opportunistic behavior and risk oriented attitude compelled him to ultimately leave his job since he was unable to achieve his vision. Besides, no significantly positive change was predicted in the concern.
His six months tenure in the manufacturing concern, introduced him with the real time scenarios of automobile industry. Mr. Javaid realized that certain parts of the automobiles, having reasonable demand in the market, could be manufactured by investing small amount of capital. He decided to pursue his vision by commencing his own business of auto parts. Capital was raised by investing his savings and by borrowing from his friends and family. He optimally utilized the resources and manufactured some new auto parts with relatively high quality and less cost. This innovation led him to earn 70% return on investment by the end of first year.

Explanation / Answer
Which of the following factors if added to the scenario will lead Mr. Javaid not to pursue his dream and to continue his job? Justify your rationale. His initial findings revealed that his intended automobile parts will no longer be used in auto manufacturing. Javid will not pursue his dream only in this case. Entrepreneurial skills are not affected by money or social stigma, its a skill to innovate and add value to the society by finding better ways to make more profit. If the automobile parts will no longer be used then his investment and time will go waste, so it would be better for him to research and invest in making some other product
