He receives the usual discounted commercial rate for all seven nights, but that rate is still higher than the special weekend rate. He knows about the special rate, is surprised that no adjustment was mande for the weekend nights, and asks for an adjustment.

c. in this case the customer may not eligible to get the benefits. because the terms and conditions of the discounts will disclose the total information. the customers who are staying in the hotel before the offer, they may or may not eligile. it has to clarify by the hotel management itself.
2. yes, there are similarities and differences.
the similarities are; customer will benefited monitorily and he will charged lesser amounts than normal rates.
and the differences are; discount will be announced before buying the service and the customer knows that the rate of discount. but rate cutting will be decides after consumption of the service, once the total bill is prepared by the cashier, then the customer comes to know how much he is going to be get as discount (rate cutting).
