Question

I need this feedback translated towards achieving my personal goals moving forward with my team project. Using the following criteria below to summarize the content in two pages. What did you think about the feedback? If it wasn’t entirely positive, it can be difficult to accept, but try to read it with an open mind and reflect honestly about how well it captures your behavior over the last few weeks. Is it consistent with your own assessment of your behavior? If there’s a discrepancy between your perception of your behavior and your teammates’ perception, where do you think the truth lies? Is the feedback consistent across multiple teammates? In the end, what do you think is more accurate? Your perception or your teammates’ perception?

Remember that as stress increases, as it is likely to do as the project nears its completion, we are likely to revert to behaviors that come most naturally to us and changes you’ve made might be hard to sustain. What supporting mechanisms can you put in place to help maintain and continue the progress you’ve made so far? Is there a tool you can use to remind yourself of your goals if you feel yourself reverting to behaviors you’re trying to move away from (e.g. interrupting your teammates)? Or a reminder you can use to encourage you to take actions you often don’t (e.g., such as speaking up when you feel important information is being ignored)? What can you do in the remaining four weeks to make further progress?

The following feedback was suggested below. Listening- I think you have improved your listening skills. Sometimes it seems like you get a little hung up on what you want, and don't consider what else is going on. Prioritize- I think that you have gotten much better at this. You have done a good job basing your research around our topic, and staying on task. Communication- I think you have gotten much better at helping us to understand your concerns. I believe you have been making good progress on your goals. You provide a lot of beneficial insights to the discussions. The only criticism is that sometimes you focus too much on one topic during our meetings and it is difficult to know if you agree or disagree with the other points discussed. I can tell that you have tried to listen more during team meetings. I can see that you have made conscious effort to control yourself and listen even when you don't agree. I can see you are working toward improving your communication skills. I notice you are improving, you articulate your thoughts and questions better every time we meet as a team I believe your goal is to improve presentation and communication skills. As you mentioned in your description that over the years you have developed to be a good listener. This will definitely help you in communicating better. I haven't seen any presentation from you so cannot comment on that. But, I would say, communication is integral to presentation, so you definitely are on the track for development.
