Explanation / Answer

The most prominent crises related to international integration is Greece debt crisis, which happened in large part because Greece, EU and global market failed to make a clear understanding about whether the euro zone would insure Greece's sovereign debt which led Greece to borrow at unsustainable levels, leading to a financial crisis that threatened the whole EU. While Greece has borrowed more than it could repay, this was always a political problem and not a economic one. It arose because there was a market perception that the EU would guarantee euro zone countries' borrowing, but no corresponding political support for that among EU countries or the EU electorate. The reason is that it was unclear that which responsibilities fell to the EU and which to the individual countries.

Instead of clarifying issues and making the things right, EU waited till 2010, when the crisis was already well underway, before setting up stabilization mechanisms to share the burden of ensuring financial stability across the EU. No sign of resolution has been observed in near future which leads to making the situation worse.

Another Greek crisis leads to thousands of refugees and undocumented immigrants who are crossing the Mediterranean in ever-greater numbers are reaching to European shores. The influx has overwhelmed the island, which has a permanent population of only 86,000 people. The immigrants are coming to these islands because these are near to European countries and can be reaching by boat.

International integration should also take into consideration about the culture, economic status, and political willingness as these play an important role in complete acceptability of the integration process and after integration life. There should be proper norm regarding economic and social part of the integration so that it can be taken smoothly and in a good cause i.e. to make a better place for both the states and countries.
