Barriers to communication at Individual and Organization level are:

There are different approaches to overcome different types of communication barrier which can be followed in an Organization. Perceptual barrier can be overcome by forming cross-functional teams or organizing cross team level events so that individual can make a correct perception about an individual or a decisions. Emotional barrier is by changing one’s thoughts and feelings with one’s colleague through proper training interventions. Language Barrier can be overcome by making a policy according to which mode of communication should be one of which is accepted across the organization. Those people who are not strong in that language will be given training and more language opportunities where they can hone their skill. Translating communication aids (such as emails) and training materials into the respective languages will also help. Cultural Barrier can occur at Organizational level and thus diversity and inclusivity related trainings help organizations groom their employees on embracing their inherent differences and leveraging diversity to build efficiencies. These training programs focus on building a culture of unity, promote inclusivity and help employees see others’ point of view
