Assume the Initail volume = V1

30 dilutions V2 = 30 x V1

V2 = 30V1

After the dilution Concentration (M2) =?

According to the Molarity principle

M1V1 = M2V2

1 x V1 = M2 x 30V1

M2 = V1/30V1

M2 = 1/30

Hence the concentration decreases 30 times.

b) To explaine the molecules we have to know the concentration.

If we assume as 1M concentration

That means 1 mole of compound in 1000 mL.

In 1 mL =?

= 1/1000 moles

= 10-3 moles
