Question

Glucose oxidation has a standard enthalpy of -2803 kJ/mol. What is the total heat produced by human respiration over the course of one year?

I've already asked this question and someone answered:

Daily consumption = 120g
=>year consumption = 120*365
total heat produced by human respiration over the course of one year = 2803*(120/180)*365 = 682063.3333kJ

This answer may be right, but is there another way to figure out this question for CHEMISTRY because there is nothing in my book about the daily consumption so there must be another way.

Please HELP!

Explanation / Answer

Daily consumption = 120g =>year consumption = 120*365 total heat produced by human respiration over the course of one year = 2803*(120/180)*365 = 682063.3333kJ this method should be followed
