Scientists C is correct since the wavefunction given by him is bounded. In case of Scientist A and Scientist B, the tan function becomes unbounded or infinite when its argument becomes (/2) and in case of B the exponential function becomes infinite as x tends to zero. only in case of scientist C , we get a bounded and finite value of the wavefunction . Thus Scientist C is correct.
