Question
When 0.14 moles of Cl2 occupies 14L at a temperature Tx, andPressure Px - what will the volume of 0.14 moles of C2H6 occupy atthe same temperature and pressure?Accoring to me - since PV=NRT, and moles/Temperature andPressure are all idential for Cl2 and C2H6 - the volume of C2H6will also be 14L. Am I right? Please explain. Thanks When 0.14 moles of Cl2 occupies 14L at a temperature Tx, andPressure Px - what will the volume of 0.14 moles of C2H6 occupy atthe same temperature and pressure?

Explanation / Answer
Since tempertaure and pressure are same in the two cases. So, from the relation PV = nRT V n Since R is constant So, ( V ' ./ V ) = ( n ' / n ) from this V ' = ( n ' / n ) V given n ' = 0.14 moles n =0.14 moles V = 14L substitue values we get V ' = 14 L So, you are rightRelated Questions
