1-What diet recommendations would you give Rosa to prepare for upcoming cancer treatments?

            Rosa should maintain a healthy weight and should eat small, frequent meals throughout the day. Since she has hypercholesterolemia and hypertension she should choose protein-rich foods and include whole grain foods, a variety of fruits and vegetables and add healthy fat. She should stay hydrated throughout the day.

2-What would you recommend for Rosa if she experiences mouth sores?

            Rosa can take custard for reducing mouth sores or flusing out with baking soda and water or salt and water would help.

3-What would you recommend for Rosa if she experiences diarrhea?

            Initially the water loss due to diarrhea has to be compensated by giving electrolytes (for maintaining the sodium and potassium). However, if this persists for more than 24 hours, a dose of loperamide or an antidiarrheal agent SC octreotide has to be given.

            Ideal body weight (IBW) for females: IBW = 45.5 kg + 2.3 kg for each inch over 5 feet. Since Rosa is 5'6" tall and weighs 168 lb, the ideal body weight for her should be 130.5lb.
