Question
Alcohol question.
Lets say person "A" drank 4 Liters of beer that has 5% alcohol content and person "B" drank 1.8 Liters of beer that has 16.8% alcohol content and person "C" drank 1.3 Liters of beer that has 16.8% alcohol content as well as 3 additional shots of whisky (30 ml each shot) that has 45% alcohol content. Is it possible to know how many liters person B and C drank in terms of person A (that is how many liters did they drank if converted to 5% alcohol content)? Also, who drank the "heaviest" out of those three people?
this isn't homework or anything... just a random question lol.
Explanation / Answer
Person A : drank 4 lit that has 5% alchol
means alchol consumed = 4*5/100 = 0.2 Lit
person B: drank 1.8 lit that has 16.8% alchol
means alchol consumed = 1.8*16.8/100 = 0.3024 Lit
Person C:
drank 1.3 lit that has 16.8% alchol
means alchol consumed = 1.3*16.8/100 = 0.2184 Lit
and also 3 shots of whisky
therefore, alchol consumed 3*30*45/100 = 40.5 ml
total alchol consumed = 0.2184+0.0405 = 0.2589 L
person A : 1 lit contains 0.05 l acohol
so that B,C drank 0.2589+0.3024 = 0.5613 L
therefore,
No of litre of drink taken by B,C interms of A = 0.5613/0.05 = 11.226 L
