As you have learned in lecture. there is stereoselectivity as well as stereoselectivity associated with the E2 mechanism. What do you expect the products of reaction to be? Which is the major product and which is the minor product? Explain your answer from both stereoselectivity and stereoselectivity aspects. 2. The stereoselectivity of the reaction has been studies for many years. In particular one of the early studies was performed on a compound closely related to the one you used in lab this week - 2-bromobutane. Perform a literature search (reaction search) for the elimination of 2-bromobutene. Examine an article you found and give the products of the reaction based on the article you found as well as the product distribution based on the paper using two different bases. Attach the article to your lab report. Note: there could be many papers choose one that you can access and that you can understand to answer this question 3.
