Question
What are the hybridizations of the carbon atoms labeled C_1 and C_2, respectively, in the amino acid, glycine? C_1 C_2 sp^2 sp^2 sp^2 sp^2 sp^3 sp^3 sp^3 sp^2 sp sp For a given arrangement of ions, lattice energy decreases as ionic radius and as ionic charge increases, decreases increases, increases decreases, increases decreases, decreases this cannot be predicted. CO_3^2- NH_4^+ NO_2^- NO_3^- CIO_4^-Explanation / Answer
Question 12.
When Carbon it's bonded with 4 single bonds, it means that it has the simpliest hybridation, which is sp3, cause it's using only sigma bonds and when one of two of it's bond is with a double bond, it's using a sigma bond but also a pi bond, so it's using a sp2 hybridation form
Question 14 and 15.
The sigma bond as I previously state in question 12 is formed in the hybridation of sp3 form, so the correct answer in here is option C, sp2 and sp are used for double and triple bond. In the same way, in order to form the double bond with the N, the pi bond is formed with the hibridized form of sp2, so correct option here is b.
The other questions, post them in another post.
Hope this helps
