Oil potential has high health hazards risk that can cause the energy transition from oil to other resources. The oil industry is related to use of oil and the drilling of oil on onshore and offshore.
The oil drilling on onshore has various hazards to the society and can have adverse health hazards to workers. Scourge of the drilling is mainly toxic side-product such as toxic gas and Temperature. Even, intoxicated fluid is highly injurious to human health. Also, Blowout can cause devastation of property and loss of lives. The offshore drilling has the same hazards risk with an additional risk concern on the devastation of marine biodiversity. Ruin biodiversity can have a prolonged effect on the socio-economic condition of the adjacent countries.
The extraction of the oil can also produce harmful materials and elements that are toxic to the human body. As a byproduct, heavy metals has also adverse health affect. Use of toxic material in the processing also raise the health hazards issues.
The oil pool is limited so do the reservation volume. Continuous excavation of oil can lead an unfortunate future where there will be a dire need for alternatives.
