Seriously the entire world needs to find a way to feed its growing population. To feed itself every country basically need availability of land to farm and sufficient water supplies for present and next generation also. By using these resources it is crucial to feed our growing population with a sustainable and healthy diet.
The major challenges to restrain the environmental impact of agriculture are:
1. Population growth
2. Climate change
3. Shift towards urban living
4. Western diets
On one hand in developed countries like USA rapid growth of food chain industries are growing and people are even habituated to junk food and many people are not aware about the nutrients and calories intake. The only way to handle this scenario emerging public health crisis do require radical RETHINKING about the entire regions food system. Right from producer to importer as well as consumer. Every person mindset must be changed accordingly and the entire food system needs to be modified and decrease the growing burden of OBESITY. At the end measures are to be taken and ensure healthy, diverse and sustainably produced foods should become easily available as well as affordable.
In my point of view it is very important to beat the present food scarcity issues as well as provide nutritious healthy food to our next generations. Its everyone responsibility like government should provide more land to farmers and provide them with 24 hours electricity(in developing countries) and water for farming. So that the farmers can grow more diverse, nutritious and sustainable crops, cereals, vegetables and fruits. Parents should also take care about feeding their children and calculate the daily calories, nutrients intake. To conclude this essay i would like to tell FARMERS ARE THE BACKBONE OF COUNTRY.
