The United States should do away with the Electoral College because The allocation of Electoral College Votes Per State is not equally distributed. Thus it can be said that the voting power of the people has been weakened and lopsidedly distributed. A Person by Winning Only 21.8% of the Popular Vote in this system can become a president. A candidate usually gets all the electoral votes of that state if he wins the popular vote of a state even by a single vote. The Electoral College allows the presidential election to be decided by a handful of states while giving too much power to "swing states". And finally it can be said that the Electoral College disregards the will of the people.
