Explanation / Answer
According to the report, it has been analyzed that low serum iron levels can also be called as serum ferritin. It varies for both the genders. The normal range measured is given in the report. Low levels of ferritin level may be also due to defeciency of transferrin protein. Transferrin protein is a iron transporter, which binds to Hb called TIBC-total iron binding capacity. Most commonly the serum iron deficiency leads to restless leg syndrome where legs urges to move during rest. Apart from this unusual tiredness, paleness, feeling anxious, cold hands and feet. Restricted diet can lead to loss of iron ultimately cause anemia. Brain cells utilize most of the iron uptake in the body.
