Christians have this false belief that they are better people due to the fact that they do believe in God. Keller, however, discusses that Christians should accept that unbelievers may have better morals than believers. We, as believers, cannot put ourselves on pedestals. We lose connection with people by doing so. As Keller says, "Christians, then, should expect to find nonbelievers who are much nicer, kinder, wiser and better than they are." Christians in my experience can sometimes view themselves as better than anyone else. Even though, they have done much more heinous things than non-believers. We cannot make our reason for our value in our holiness through God, but then turn around and act the complete opposite. This takes away validity to our faith and makes outsiders rethink Christians. While we cannot control everyone nor should we. We cannot fit into aspects that other Christians have just to keep the status quo.

Explanation / Answer

We first as humans do blunders as well as wiser things in life, whether one is believer or the other way around what differentiates a human is his demeanor and good conduct towards other beings. No doubt is non-believer is at times wiser than the believer it is not going to yield him anything on the day of resurrection in front of God. First and foremost God – the creator – wants his creation (Human being is the best creation among all other creation is the cosmos) to believe on his (Gods’) existence, later on the other wiser things are appreciated. But if a human doesn’t believe even on the existence of his creator then his goodness will be rejected and meaningless to God on the day of resurrection as also mentioned in the Bible. Now if a believer falls prey at times to the tricks of devil he must repent and follow the path of Jesus Christ. Believer do bad things as well but his belief of the existence of God is what differentiates him from non-believer and make him more superior then the one who does not. Instead desiring for the wiser part of non-believer, a believer must be proud on his being among the followers of God and should always to God-winning activities to stay on the forefront. Having no belief on God will ruin the good morals, with time, which a non-believer might have. Acknowledge it that trust and believe in the God with all your heart, will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. In Psalm 14:1, it says that “the fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good, so don’t get your good trait of ‘believing in God’ swayed by their disguised demeanors. So Do good and believe in God that will suffice.
