The currents through these loops are positive if they are counterclockwise as viewed from the +z direction and are negatative if they are clockwise. If the current of the bottom current loop (I1) is increasing with time, what is the direction of the induced current in the top loop (I2), and if the current in I2 is decreasing with time, what is the direction of the induced current in I1?Explanation / Answer
1) ans-If the current of the bottom current loop (1) is increasing with time and in the counterclockwise, then the direction of the current in the opposite loop will be in the clockwise direction so that it try to decrease the magnetic flux by which it is produced.This is according to the Lenz's law. 2) ans-If the current of the top current loop (2) is decreasing with time and in the counterclockwise, then the direction of the current in the opposite loop will be in the same counterclockwise direction so that it try to increase the magnetic flux by which it is produced.This is according to the Lenz's law.
