Things to consider in your description:

The direction of flow of rivers and streams, areas that are hilly, areas that are flat.  Discuss points of interest, forested areas, populated areas, locations of roads, railroads etc.  Each description should be backed up with evidence from the map; for example the land in the _______ is hilly because the contour lines are________.

Explanation / Answer

The overall map shows a foothill area. In the northern and partly south eastern part (about 75% of the area) there are hills. The hills are evident from higher altitude and lack of habitation. There are a number of streams flowing down from the hills along steep and deep valleys evident from the steep contours which form tributaries to join the main stream and follaw an overall dendritic pattern of drainage. The river valleys are covered with little vegetation. The southerg part is relatively flat with habitation evident from contours. There is a railway and a roadway running almost in north south direction. there is another railway and roadway in the southern part running almost in east west direction.
