Explanation / Answer

Answer:

Explanation Below:

When the price of natural gas is 3.12 the usage goes upto 4.38 and when the price increases by 1.77 mcf then usage decreases by 0.5 mcf

Which shows that for every 0.1 decrease in usage impacts on increase in price of the natural gas by 0.354 which is 1.77*.5= 0.354

Therefore when the price of natural gas increases from 3.12 to 3.67 which is 0.55 mcf then for every 0.354 the usage will decrease by 0.1.

therefore 0.55-0.354=0.196 so for every 0.196 increase in price will reduce the uase by 0.06 therefore the total reduction is 0.1+0.06=0.16

Henceforth, 4.38 - 0.16=4.22
