The job would be a college counselor for students, at the New York university. My task, on a daily basis, will be to counsel and guide students while they take important decisions related to admissions, academic counselling, career counselling and placement counselling.
My personality profile is - The Nurturer. I am kind and quiet. I usually think about other's needs and requirements before thinking about my pown needs. I am highly perceptive of other's feelings. Yes, i agree with the profile and it completely matches my personality. So, as such, there was nothing surprising.
My RIASEC traits are present in the "social" type personality. The traits are - like to help, teach and counsel people and friendly, helpful.
Yes, the 2 assesments did validate my career choice as a counselor. My personality style makes me go out and help others, be friendly and helpful, be supportive, be kind and responsible. These traits are apt for the role of a college counselor. Examples - the assesment showed me that my future lies in helping others and guiding them, as was exhibited by my personality traits. This helped me. My personality style and RISAEC traits are both linked to my career choice as the traits as outlined by the personality style and RISAEC traits will help me flourish in a career environment that fits as per my personality profile.
