And students say that the reason for making the original distinction, between simple access and diversity's educational impact, is that they see no value in fighting yesterday's battles. The access has been hard won, over a period of years, but it has indeed been won.

I am in the camp that believes the question of simple access has been answered. For many years, minorities fought for the same access to education as their white counterparts. The fact that you have many women graduating, that successful minorities are listed as notable alumni on university websites shows that simple access to university is almost fully solved. I think it is important that we do not waste time flogging a dead horse. Now that minorities have their foot in the door, energy should be spent making sure that the learning experience is universal, and that the outcome for all is equally worth it. We should make sure that our learning is equal across the board and that minorities are treated no differently than their white counterparts, and that they are not seen as a law forced obligation. While it is important that we what it took to get here, we shouldn't waste time trying fight and win the battle again. We should instead do what our predecessors fought for us to be able to do: make a difference in the world. Use the knowledge we gain with our access to university education to make the world better in whatever discipline we choose.

The message indicates that in todays world students of varied culture and ethinic backgrounds are being served and empowered across college campus. Multiculturism exist in college campus and colleges are providing resources to make diversity on campus like college resources for hispanic students, syudents with disabilities, financial aid for minority students, helping women pay for college, international student guide, LGBT friendly college and resource etc.

Now, the most important things for the students are to take advantage of the knowledge provided to them and utilize those in the betterment of the society. So. rather than focusing on protesting against different race or culture, students should focus on empowering themselves from the knowledge provided at college and implementing those for the growth and prosperity of self and the community as a whole.
