Question
Concerning the anthropocentric view of environmental ethics, explain the principle of disproportionality when assessing endangered species. My understanding: whenever we view an endangered species from an anthropocentric point of view, the principle of disproportionality means that there are two different views: one view explains that it is ok to agress a endangered species because they have no moral value nor do they harm the human species in any way. From the second view if the endangered species has value to the survival lof the human species, it is considered that it should be left alone. HELP IM SO CONFUSED
Explanation / Answer
It is the way we are thinking about them that they should be or not. in some cases we found that the endangered species are so important according to the view point of atmosphere and the ecological cycle on the other hand is suppose they live without get extinct like dinosoures then it become quite difficult for the homo sapians that we human being to survive on earth. it is because they will try to destro our community. only suppose endangered species stay there then also create an unbalancing of eco cycle and only if human beings are there then also ecocycle will be unbalanced.
Its all natural way if it all our hand to save any species or destroy any species then this ecological cycle of life span on earth will be distrurb in such a way that for endangered species all the other species also suffers. so it is not an issue of environmental ethics in terms of merits or demerits. as stated by the viewpoint of anthropocentric view point.
