You have two dice, the POSSIBILITIES are the numbers that can be thrown with two dice, and they are all the numerals from two to twelve: Therefore there are eleven possibilities. Count them: 2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12 I get eleven possible outcomes, or possibilities, whether I count them backwards or fowards, and these are all the possibilities there are. UPDATE: If neither 11 nor 36 are correct then you did not explain the problem correctly. Another possibile answer is 21 but that requires a different statement of the problem, one in which (1r 3g) is the same as (3r 1g).
