Question

Three trial concrete mixes are developed for an office building. the first is a "plain" mix (P). The second is the same, but with some added flash (F). and the third has a liquefying additive (L) to improve workability. For each mix. Four test cylinders are made, and tested for their 28 day compressive strength in pounds per square inch (psi). Data are shown below. Perform a One-Way Analysis of Variance on the data. At the 95% confidence level. (5% significance level), is the null hypothesis accepted or rejected? Can we say with 95% confidence that there are significant differences in strength? Find the actual significance level using Excel. This can be done with Excel. First, check that the Analysis Tool Pack is loaded. If not, click Options. Add-Ins. and Click on Analysis Tool Pack. At the bottom, under Manage, select Excel Add-Ins. and Go. From the menu area, under Data, you should then see the Data Analysis button on the far right. Choose One-way ANOVA. Indicate the cell block where the data are. Select your desired confidence level, the cell where you want the results to start, and click OK.

Explanation / Answer

from above given data and using excel ANOVA one factor

from above P value is significantly low. we accept that there are significant differnce in strength
