The table below gives the number of classes that she could take at each time. Classes Available Time 9:05-9:55 7 10:10 11:00 5 11:15-12:05 6 12:20-1:10 1:25 2:15 4 2:30 -3:20 How many different schedules can Tina devise? (A) 10,080 B) 212 (C) 140 (D) 72Explanation / Answer
Tina can have all three classes in the morning or all three classes in the noon.
For morning,
The total number of schedules possible = 4*7*5 = 140
Similarly for evening,
The total number of shcedules possible = 6*3*4 = 72
Hence,
Number of different schedules Tina can devise = 140 + 72 = 212
