Applying your understanding of the conflict process, critically discuss the five stages of conflict that might experience by Sean and her team members and predict the outcomes of conflict

Team Conflict Sean is a manager, and he is just appointed an additional post as a new project team leader after his first meetings with the team members from different department in forming the new project team. The team had been formed four months ago and had made little progress. Sean notified that communication can be one of the major barrier in a project-oriented team. The fluid nature of people working in teams and/or working on different location or department, makes finding an opportunity to talk to a specific person or getting the answer to a specific question a chore at time. Sean was preparing the meeting while two team members asked to speak to him Lim began to describe the history of the team and how everyone had been very excited in the beginning but the progress stopped while the team members became disenchanted and having a conflict during decision making. Lim explained that the team turned to Stanley, its leader, to tel it how to solve problems and proceed. But Stanley refused to do anything. Lim expressed his hope that Sean was not the type of leader who would make the same mistakes that Stanley had made. Stanley, the previous team leader, has rumour suggested that meetings handled by him often ended in shouting matches, with members blaming each other personally for the lack of ability to solve perform and progress. Natie joined in the conversation by telling Sean about all the disagreements and fighting that went on during meetings. She admitted that sometimes good ideas and creative insights did results from the conflict, but most of the team members left the meetings disappointed and didn't enjoy the work
