I. Restorative justice: Restorative justice aims to provide justice to the victims and their families by following several measures outside the traditional criminal justice system. It aims to restore the integrity of both victims and offenders so that they become contributing members of the society. It makes ways to amend so the offenders realize their action and the harm that have been caused to the victims or their dear ones and that the offenders take up the responsibility in a way that those harmful actions are not repeated in the future. Thus, restorative justice helps the individuals to deter themselves from doing such actions that may cause harm to others.
I'll. Corporal punishment: The corporal punishment is inflicting pain upon individuals especially children by canning, flogging etc. so as to prevent the unacceptable behavior in the future. Though it may be helpful in deterring an unacceptable behavior in the future but it may promote the behavior that physical violence is the best way to prevent any unwanted behaviors in others, hence, in this point corporal punishment is in conflict with criminal justice concepts.
I'll. Pay-to-stay jails: Pay-to-stay jails are those jails in which the offenders can promote themselves to jails with comforts by buying them. These jails were introduced to reduce the overcrowd in the conventional jails. But now they have become controversial when offenders of serious sexual crimes get all the facilities by buying and spend their sentence period with ease and comfort in jail. Thus, this conflicts with goals of deterrence of criminal justice system.
IV. Drug treatment: Rehabilitation facilities as providing therapy for drug is a part of criminal justice concepts as it prevents the actions to be repeated in the future and helps the individuals to a contributive factor for the development of the society.
