Using the Internet for your research, answer the following exercise. Find an example of a real project with a real project manager. Feel free to use projects in the media (the Olympics, television shows, movies, and so on) or a project from work, if applicable. Write a three-page paper:

1. Describe the project in terms of its scope, time, and cost goals and each of the project's attributes.

2. Demonstrate how you would use the four-stage planning process (as covered in Chapter 2): Strategic Planning, Business Area Analysis, Project Planning, and Resource Allocation, for the project you’ve selected. If your research indicates specific planning information on the real project you selected, please feel free to share your findings in your analysis.

3. Include information describing what went right and wrong on the project and the role of the project manager and sponsor. Also describe whether you consider the project to be a success or not and why.

*Use APA style format in a Word document, and include at least one reference and proper citations. Feel free to include any spreadsheet(s) as an Appendix.

--I am really looking for a guideline on how to begin this. I'm new to project management, or at least the school aspect of it with writing a bunch of papers and am unsure of how to get going. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you

instead of only relying on internet I would advise you to do following:-

USe FB , linkedIn to approach managers

1. Try to use your contacts and meet with a real life manager ( may also be on phone but preferably in person)

2. Ask him about what project he is doing and how he has planned the same

3. Tell him that if he share up his work with you ie you can make the project more structured using various project techniques that you may be aware of

4. Strategic Planning, Business Area Analysis, Project Planning, and Resource Allocation you will readily understand as soon as you get involved in the project
