Goal or Objectives of organization
Their primary vision of SHIN-NY's existence is making the health care information exchange universally used, whenever and wherever required so that people can enjoy sound health by collaboratively leading, connecting and integrating health information exchange across the State. To fulfill their vision and mission they have elaborate goals and targets to achieve. The Major goals are given as follows.
1. They would like to reduce physical form of referring and transferring medical data instead they would like to perform electronically. 2. They would like to remove unneccessary, unwanted tests, complicatory procedures and medications. 3. They would like to offer enhanced health care coordination, improved public health emergency and ensure that there are improvements in population health potential they would like to rise up to the level where they will be able to inform the scientific and medical research through major driving forces and dynamics
Key strategies to acheive their Goals
1. They would like to establish a strong health information exchange foundation across the states by providing complete data transfers from various data providers with complete cyber security free from threats.
2. They would like to provide value based care through enhanced functionality, data provision and servises and to make ground work for value based health care. Customers should be satisfied for what they pay.
3. Giving priority to Innovations. They would like to invest in high technology and proess innovations like patient engagement tools , artificial inteligence and machine learning and things like that.
4. Efficiency and affordability: More supply of data services which are in customer-centric will sustain the organization for long-term efficiency and affordability by applying strategies like group purchasing, acquisitions and mergers
5. Coordinated Network across the states in regard to customer based data-transfer across the states and to showcase the accomplishments
6. Implementing strategies to have user-friendly, comprehensive clinical view of a patient (having the required data services at hand) for sound functionality of health care system
Barriers
1. Uncertainty of funding from federal level with its negative fiscal implications.
2. Hiring of Contracts services: Contracts should be awarded on performance based system
3. Technical standards, viable functionality, business operational efficiency have to be continuously improved.
