Discuss trade-offs. Link the costs and benefits (utilitarianism) to the value of what the firm is doing (universalism
Explanation / Answer
Answer: I will like to work with the organization which is humanistic, innovative and promotes independent thinking. The organizational structure in the organizations should be flat so that the communication takes place directly between the top and the lower levels inside the organization. The company should acknowledge the good work of the employees and provide them with rewards and facilities matching their talent. The company should offer flexible working structures and should promote diversity at all the levels inside the organization. The recruitment and retention practises like promotions and incentives policies should be transparent. The company should have an inclination towards the corporate social responsibility as in long run it helps in developing a competitive advantage for the firms. When the firms are socially inclined and spend on communities, the organizations have lesser resources for the employees. This may in the short run impact on the pays and perks of the employees but in the long run the company benefits from such moves and is able to earn more profit which it can use on providing pays and perks to the employees. So the universal ism followed by the firm will ultimately result in the long time profitability for all.
