Personality Tests are being conducted by the companies extensively to identify the traits a person has and traits a role demands. For example, Sales person has to be an extrovert to reach out to the people. If you are hiring an introvert person then he might fail to deliver the job expectations.
This is basically to find out to how organization can utilize the traits a person is holding with himself. I have taken an MBTI test online and found my personality characteristic types as INTP ( Introversion Intution, Thinking, Perceiving). These traits demonstrates that I possess personality which is logical, conceptual, analytical, objective, detached, critical, ingenius, complex, intellectually curious, Loves Ideas, persues understanding, questioning, adaptable, independent etc.
So what I learned after taking test that I have few skills that I was not aware of and now understand my personality which will help me do my job better with the skill sets that I have. It will also bring clarity to improvise myself on areas that I need to execute my task on the job.
This way organization gets best match for the role while individuals get mirror feedback of their personalities.
