Below is a list of a number of programs that are available to you.

Your goal is to use these programs to do a set of listed tasks. You

are also provided with 3 system descriptions. For each system

description, please describe how you would perform these tasks

systems are as follows: A) only runs one process at a time with no

multiprocessing, B) only has a single shell display that can display

the output of one program at a time, but has multitasking, and

C) has multitasking with a windowing environment

Explanation / Answer

System A - Each program executes sequentially, one after another to complete the task.

System B - Start all the 4 programs. Switch between the programs when the output of one is needed while others are processing tasks. For example, if a page is loading from internet, do some work in word.

System C - Start all 4 programs and use all of them simultaneously as required to complete the task.

Minimum requirement - Single shell display. Sequential processing

Good to have - Windowing environment, multitasking
