I can write about the company that I have worked for. Aviva Life Insurance Company India Ltd., is the company that I have worked for. They have been very active in Corporate Social responsibility activities. They have taken various initiative in developing a good corporate social responsibility activity. Let us discuss at come of the initiatives that they have taken in having a good corporate social responsibility program.

First the company did a vast kind of research in choosing the activity for the corporate social responsibility program. They were very sure to ensure that the good activities that they do should not go as a waste. It must go to the really deserving people in the society. The company took a lot of time in choosing the activity that they are going to do under CSR. They did not do things for the heck of doing it.

Then they identified who are all the team members who are going to be involved in the CSR activity. Care was taken to design the team in such a way the normal routine activities of the organization was not affected by the CSR activity. The team members once identified to perform the CSR activity were also trained in that field to accomplish that job effectively by giving their 100%.

Once the activity is chosen, then is to find the people who really deserve that benefits. The activity that the company choose was to help the people with the educational needs in a small village. The organization itself personally visited the areas in the village and monitored the need of the students in the village. Then after visiting various villages, the organization came to a conclusion to choose a certain village that the benefits are really needed. Another activity is that helping an orphanage. Several orphanage homes were visited and one orphanage was finally chosen.

As a team we were divided and one day we went to distribute the writing materials to the needy students of the village. The people in the village were amazed by out activity. Similarly the kids in the orphanage also very impressed with our intention to help them. We distributed a lot of material to the kids in the orphanage. They were very impressed by our gesture to help them.

Of all these activities conducted, the company never promoted their brand among the needy people in the society. This is one of the motto's of our organization, to just help the needy people in the CSR activity.
