Answer all of the following essay questions. Your essays should show an understanding of course materials and reveal your own perspective on the issues presented. Each of the essays you write should be between 250 and 500 words (1 to 2 typed, double-spaced pages).

Explain how the invention of the telegraph revolutionized communication and set in motion the development of the mass media.

Let’s say you want to launch a magazine exclusively for the students at Thomas Edison State College. What information could you provide that these individuals don't currently have? What type of publication would you produce? How would you generate revenue? How would you distribute the magazine and what would you call it? Would you want to put the magazine online? Why or why not?

Explanation / Answer

Thomas Edison State College whereas a studying student, I have marked that there is some information that follows the life cycle of a person. I thought that on creating a magazine which will cover the complete lifecycle of students. Literary Reviews and Academic Journals will be the category of publication my launching magazine. This magazine will not be solely revenue driven like typical magazines. I will be focusing on motivating, encouraging, and helping other students with the challenges of continuing their education while still juggling the challenges of the workload. It never too late will be distributed to the students by the students.

I would begin by choosing multiple stages to capture the interest of all different types of readers. The basis of my publication would revolve around the school itself, providing experiences on various classes and professors, allowing both students and professors of past and present to discuss their experiences, strategies, and give advice to the students currently enrolled.

This magazine is going to be divided into few major stages:

1. Beginning

2. Middle

3. End

4. Beyond (After completing the course) The Start of the lifecycle will focus on several different stages. One stage will be monitoring all the different reasons why a student may choose to go back to school. Another stage will focus on how students are able to make the work life balance work. The students will be also offering up their own suggestions and recommendations with creative ideas.

All studying students, faculty, and alumni would be encouraged to participate by submitting their own original writings or picture on any topic of their choice. Professors who teach courses such as writing, communications, and marketing would have the opportunity to create writing assignments that would benefit both the class and magazine every time. It beings with aimed towards all staff, students, and alumni of University where I would opt to have the publication be a controlled circulation magazine. The decision to have it is a controlled circulation magazine would keep publication

One issue that I have knew that online learning is the lack of connecting and getting to know other students as well as professors. So I would provide information and additional resources for student classes that was easily accessible. Many of necessary texts have websites with additional information such as chapter outlines and General knowledges, as well as power point presentations in order to enhance the information presented. This information would be helpful to students to enhance their learning experience. Another thought would be to have a meet and greet area with photos and biographical information.

I will also include describing and outlines what is evolving within the school and within academic programs. This means that people, outside of what information is found online, are already exposed to current events regarding the events.

I would provide much of the same information as well as showcasing student achievements monthly with better coverage and editorial.

The invention of the telegraph has revolutionized communication and was the sparked a new way to communicate. Here it provided a starting point for communication devices that we have today in use, It manage us to deliver and receive news in a timely schedule to communicate across countries and world.

Locations were no longer disconnected from each other. Distance from each other not affects that far away. In the military, officers can now communicate to their soldiers in a more organized and reliable way and with highly secure manner. Political news was easier to spread throughout the region and world. This new device no longer made distance or time a factor to communicate with any part of the world. There is no longer felt disconnected from each other because of the distance or remote areas. But because only a few people could receive the messages it wasn’t that personal once we received a message.

This give us continuously improve this device better and faster. There is no longer was it impossible to have individual talks with our loved ones. We can now communicate with each other’s from the from anywhere in the world. With the idea of talking with each other we needed the lines to be installed along the country and even the ocean.
