Express your answer in meters using four significant figures.

1 =   m

Explanation / Answer

Relation between wavelength and frequency is,

Frequency = speed of light / wave length

So,

Wave length = speed of light / frequency

PART (A)

Speed of light = 3 * 108 m/s

Frequency = 103.8 M Hz = 103.8 * 106 Hz

Wave length = 3 * 108 / (103.8 * 106) = 2.890 m

PART (B)

Frequency = 1100 kHz = 1100 * 1000 Hz = 11 * 105 Hz

Wave length = 3 * 108 / (11 * 105 ) = 2.727 * 102 m

PART (C)

Frequency = 835.6 MHz = 835.6 * 106 Hz

Wave length = 3 * 108 / (835.6 * 106) = 0.3590 m
