If you were a pharm researcher (and I am, have done this formy research project) you want to avoid drugs that give the bacteriathe oppertunity to pump them out or acquire the plasmid. Defensins are immune system peptides that destroy bacteria byforming a hole in the membrane and letting the insides flow out. Medicinal maggot therapy is effectave because of defensins,Lucifensin in particular. This works aginst MRSA bacteriaalready resistant, since it destroys the membrane they dont havethe oppertunity to aqure resistane
