Explanation / Answer
Ans.
Group decision making is collective activity where several individuals forming a group interact simultaneously to analyze problem and find optimum solution out of available set of alternatives. The strongest argument in favour of it is that it is based on proverb that two heads are better than one. That means when decisons are made in group there are more new ideas and opinions. When decisons are taken jointly experience of each member can be included to reach an optimum solution. The strongest agument against group decison making is that it is time consuming and leads to conflicts if members do not agree with each other.Being a socal activist in society we have to make decisions which are optimal for everyone .Such as there are problems of increasing crimes in place where we live. So the main members of society make decisions the ways to reduce it such as having more security, getting alarming bellls in each house, more CCTV cameras in every street. These were ideas given by many members but other members came with more opinion to have safety camps every month where people will be taught how to protect yourself and various tecniques will be practiced making them aware. Then the most best solutions are applied. This leads to creative thinking, enhancing others knowledge and best ideas which is accetable by everyone.
