Revised: Thursday 4th June, 2015 14:26 Hints Use the expression for torque in Equation 3.2 to replace F: 3.2 For a system in equilibrium, what does Equation 3.5 indicate for T and T 3.5 40 26 BOK

Explanation / Answer

Actually mechanical advanntage indicate the amplification of the input
that means how much the value get increased at the output which we have given at the input.
So when we have given the value of force at input aFin and get Fout at output
so our MA = Fout /Fin (keepin torque constant )
so in the case of rotational , power = TW remain constant where T and W are torque and angular velocity
i.e TAWA  = TBWB   where A and B indicates the input and output respectively
TB /TA = WA/WB is Mechanical advantage
MA = TB /TA = WA /WB
where TB is the output torque and TA is the input torque
