Small intestine is lined with figer shaped tissue called villi. The villi creat a surface area to absorb vitamin sugar and other nutrients.

Flattend villi is one of the most common and significant symptoms associated with celiac disease. Gas bloating diarrhea and constipation are the symptoms of Celia disease. When villi are injured the amount of absorbed nutrient decreases.
