Question
Celiac disease responds well to a diet with no gluten. In your kitchen cupboards at HOME and in YOUR refrigerator, identify all the products that include wheat, oats, barley, rye, or their derivatives. Some other common ingredients to avoid include modified food starch, natural flavoring, malt, and flavorings and spices that are not specifically identified.
Discuss how many items you found and what if any of the food items you found contained gluten.
Now, plan a gluten free meal and provide it in this discussion. You can (not required) also include a gluten free recipe you found. When responding to classmate’s discussion remember to review diet plans and check for any gluten they may have missed.
