Question

There are five students in a class. Their scores on the midterm (out of 100) are given by the vector v =<80,91,92,90,85>. Their scores on the final (out of 100) are given by w =<84,93,91,87,82>. If the final counts twice as much as the midterm, find a vector z giving the total scores (as a percentage) of the students I know that I can find the answer as z = (v + 2w)/3

I answers the question as (82.6667, 92.3333, 91.3333, 88, 83) but the webwork said like "Your answer isn't a vector (it looks like a list of number)"

I have no idea how to do that. Please help

Explanation / Answer

The process done by you is correct. Here you just need to round off the values in your answer that is round off 82.6667 to 83,92.3333 as 92, 91.3333 as 91, hence the total scores as a percentage vector is z=(83,92,91,88,83).
