I need excel help. I have a 500+ data in column B. What I need is the formula which will look for particular text in the cell and copy that text to the next column. For eg:

I need a formula which will ssearch for a text starting from "ADH*" and paste to the new cell.

Hi..

Assuming your first string is in A2, put thiss in B2 and drag down.

=TRIM(MID(A2,FIND("ADH",A2),FIND(" ",A2,FIND("ADH",A2))-FIND("ADH",A2)))

or if AdH might not be in upper case use search like this.

=TRIM(MID(A2,SEARCH("ADH",A2),FIND(" ",A2,SEARCH("ADH",A2))-SEARCH("ADH",A2)))
