Phosphorylation of mTOR protein can be easily detected in the whole cell extract by probing with phospho-mTOR antibody in the western blot. So following will be the steps for experiments
Two type of band pattern will be visualized on the membrane
One in control only mTOR band will appear and phospho--mTOR band will not appear.
Second, in the treatment group, both band will appear but the intensity of phospho-mTOR will be more as compare to mTOR because after treatment cellular mTOR will be phosphorylated and most of the mTOR be phosphorylated after drug incubation.
