M6D1: Health Care Policy Analysts in a Partisan Environment

Although rarely covered by the media, the “behind the scenes” role of policy analysts in health care is significant. Now think about the work that policy analysts should be doing. Policy analysts are expected to provide unbiased reports about ongoing controversial public policy proposals in the health care field.

1.Is this realistic given our severely partisan environment? Why or why not?

You may wish to consider in formulating your answer to this question the severe political partisanship that we have seen between liberals and conservatives, and between Tea Party activists and progressive activists.

2.How exactly should policy analysts operate in such an explosive partisan environment?

Explanation / Answer

1) Yes it is realistic that we can unambigously able to find the partisan environment in health care sector.Most of the political parties will try to provide the health care policies as much as they can but in some political parties they try to stop those policies and they always think about the money earnings on that schemes.This is the most worst case because due to these kind of parties,public is loosing proper health care and struggling alot.

2) The policy analyst should clearly analyse the implementation of policies and schemes by ruling party members.He should clearly suggest sincere persons to work properly on the implementation of the policies.
