School-aged children thrive on friendship. Other than family, friends are the only people who have fun with them. The agenda of school-aged children is to have fun together. School-aged children make friends with just anybody who they meet. It could be a random stranger at the park. They seek out to have fun with other kids. Friendship in the later stages like adolescence, takes a whole new meaning. There are umpteen dynamics involved other than just having fun. It includes trust, loyalty, being kind and other emotions. If other kids continue to be nice to a child, he is more likely to trust other and make friends easily later in life.
